Description (Please provide a detailed description of the event in the box below)
Mexico City, July 9, 2018 Infraestructura Energ tica Nova, S.A.B. de C.V. ( IEnova ) announces that in connection with the public tender launched by the Integral Port Administration of Topolobampo, S.A. de C.V. ( API Topolobampo ) for the construction and operation of a marine terminal for the receipt and storage of hydrocarbons and other liquids, was awarded through its subsidiary IEnova Petrol feros IV, S. de R.L. de C.V., after presenting the best economic proposal.
This terminal will increase Sinaloa s access to refined product supply sources, strengthen the region s supply chain, and meet growing demand. Additionally, the terminal will contribute to the region s energy security and foster competitive prices for fuel consumers.
IEnova will be responsible for the full implementation of the project, including obtaining customer contracts, permits, engineering, procurement, construction, financing, operation and maintenance. The investment is expected to be approximately 150 million U.S. dollars, and commercial operations are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2020.
IEnova expects that the first phase of the terminal will have 1 million barrels of storage, mainly for diesel and gasoline. IEnova has made significant commercial progress with potential customers to ensure that 100% of the capacity is fully contracted. Details will be disclosed at a later date. The terminal could also be expanded to store additional refined products and/or offer service for other products such as petrochemicals.
This initiative is aligned with IEnova s strong commitment to the development of energy infrastructure in the Country.
