MOODY S DOWNGRADES IENOVA FOLLOWING THE RECENT RATING ACTIONS ON THE GOVERNMENT OF MEXICO AND OTHER GOVERNMENT ENERGY ENTITIES
Mexico City, April 21, 2020 Infraestructura Energ tica Nova, S.A.B. de C.V., ( IEnova ), announces today that Moody s downgraded IEnova s rating to Baa2 (global scale) from Baa1 and to Aa2.mx (Mexico National Scale) from Aa1.mx. The outlook remains negative.
The rating downgrade follows the recent rating actions on the ratings and outlooks of the Government of Mexico (Baa1 negative), Comisi n Federal de Electricidad ( CFE ; Baa1/Aa1.mx negative) and Petr leos Mexicanos ("PEMEX"; Ba2/A2.mx negative).
Moody s affirms that today s action is balanced by IEnova s otherwise stable cash-flow profile coming from dollar-denominated and long term take-or-pay contracts from a diverse portfolio.
