NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that United Microelectronics Corporation (the Company ) announced a cash dividend of NT0.58989396 per common share after such dividend was approved at the annual general meeting on June 12, 2019 and the meeting of Board of Directors on June 19, 2019.

As a result, UMC informs the holders of the Bonds that a Closed Period (as defined in the Indenture) will be in effect during the period between June 27, 2019 to July 22, 2019. The record date will be set on July 22, 2019.
