Mr Yap Kok Cheng is currently the Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of the Group. After considering Mr Yap Kok Cheng's exposure and hands-on experience in the Group's operations, as well as his performance as CEO since his appointment, the Nominating Committee ("NC") is of the opinion that Mr Yap Kok Cheng has the requisite experience and capability to assume the roles and responsibilities of an Executive Director of the Company.

The appointment of Mr Yap Kok Cheng as an Executive Director of the Company based on NC's recommendation has been approved by the Board of Directors.

As the Executive Director and the CEO of the Group, Mr Yap Kok Cheng will continue his executive role in developing the Group's businesses and implementing the business strategies and decisions that are endorsed by the Board, while overseeing the day-to-day operations in Singapore and the region. In particular, he will continue to drive the Group's new growth segment - the Aquaculture business.

Mr Yap Kok Cheng holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales, majoring in Finance and
Economics.

Mr Yap Kok Cheng is the nephew of Mr Kenny Yap Kim Lee (Executive Chairman and a substantial shareholder of the Company) and the son of Mr Yap Hock Huat (a substantial shareholder of the Company).

Mr Yap Kok Cheng first joined the Group in January 2005 as a management trainee when he was posted to Beijing, China to manage the Group's operations and business development initiatives in Northern China. In 2016, he was promoted to General Manager, China Operations, where he provided oversight of the Group's operations in China, including developing its new aquaculture segment in Hainan.

Mr Yap Kok Cheng was appointed as the CEO of the Group with effect from 1 January 2021.
