As announced in the press release dated May 10, 2017 Notice Regarding Scheduled Commencement of Tender Offer for Shares of Soda Aromatic Co., Ltd. (Securities Code: 4965), Toray Industries, Inc. ("Toray" ) and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("MBK") (Toray and MBK may also collectively be referred to as the "Acquirers") decided to jointly acquire the common shares of Soda Aromatic Co., Ltd. by making a tender offer (the "Tender Offer") subject to satisfaction of certain conditions, including completion of the necessary procedures and notifications under the Antitrust Laws/Competition Laws of Japan, Europe and China.
As the conditions for the Acquirers to commence the Tender Offer, including completion of the necessary procedures and notifications under the Antitrust Laws/Competition Laws of Japan, Europe and China, have been satisfied, as of the date hereof, the Acquirers have decided to commence the Tender Offer on August 8, 2017 as described below, and therefore hereby announce as follows.
