This is with reference to news article published in the Economic Times on Saturday 2nd July 2022 titled In a setback for banks, UltraTech drops plan to buy Jaypee Plant .

We wish to clarify that the Company had offered redemption of the preference shares allotted to Jaiprakash Associates Limited (JAL), after adjustment of costs to be borne by JAL, in compliance with the transaction arrangements. The Company is expecting JAL to honour its obligations and execute necessary documentation for the redemption.
