NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Novatek announced a cash dividend of NT$28.0 per common share on June 19th, 2025 and the register will be closed from July 11st, 2025 to July 15th, 2025. Such declaration of dividends was approved at a general meeting of the Novatek s shareholders held on May 28th, 2025 before such dividends were legally made.

As a result, UMC informs the holders of the Bonds that a Closed Period (as defined in the Indenture) has started and will end on July 15th, 2025. The record date will be set on July 15th, 2025.
