NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Novatek announced a cash dividend of NT$51.5 per share on June 22nd, 2022 and the register will be closed from July 14th, 2022 to July 18th, 2022. Such declaration of dividends was approved at a general meeting of the Novatek s shareholders held on June 8th, 2022 before such dividends were legally made.

As a result, UMC informs the holders of the Bonds that (i) the Exchange Price prior to the adjustment is NT$709.2, (ii) the adjusted Exchange Price, calculated pursuant to Section 11.2 of the Indenture, shall be NT$583.3 per share, (iii) such adjustment shall be effective on July 19th, 2022, and (iv) the Closed Period (as defined in the Indenture) of the Bonds commenced on June 23rd, 2022 and will end on July 18th, 2022.
