Description (Please provide a detailed description of the event in the box below): Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited ("JC&C") refers to its announcement dated 15 August 2019 (the "15 August Announcement"), in relation to JC&C's submission of an application to launch a public tender offer ("PTO") to acquire up to 10.11% of shares in Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation ("REE").

JC&C is pleased to announce that it has received all requisite regulatory approvals and will proceed with the PTO, on the terms set out in the 15 August Announcement. The PTO will be open for acceptance by shareholders of REE, subject to the 49.0% foreign ownership limit, from 30 September 2019 to 30 October 2019 (the "PTO Period").

JC&C will make a further announcement on the results of the PTO after the close of the PTO Period.

None of the Directors or controlling shareholders of JC&C has any interest, direct or indirect, in the proposed transaction (save through their shareholding interests, if any, in JC&C or directorship in REE).
