NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Novatek announced a cash dividend of NT$37.0 per share on June 20th, 2023 and the register will be closed from July 13rd, 2023 to July 17th, 2023. Such declaration of dividends was approved at a general meeting of the Novatek s shareholders held on May 31st, 2023 before such dividends were legally made.

As a result, UMC informs the holders of the Bonds that (i) the Exchange Price prior to the adjustment is NT$583.3, (ii) the adjusted Exchange Price, calculated pursuant to Section 11.2 of the Indenture, shall be NT$533.8 per share, (iii) such adjustment shall be effective on July 18th, 2023, and (iv) the Closed Period (as defined in the Indenture) of the Bonds commenced on June 20th, 2023 and will end on July 17th, 2023.
