Mr. Pier Luigi Sigismondi was President and Executive Vice President of Dole Sunshine Company, where he led a purpose-led transformation for over four years.

Prior to Dole, Mr. Sigismondi served for 10 years at Unilever Plc as an Executive Board Member - Chief Supply Chain Officer, and subsequently the President for Southeast Asia and Australasia region. Before joining Unilever, he also held key positions at Nestle SA (CH) and Nestle Mexico as a global Vice President of Corporate Operations and Vice President Operations and R&D, respectively.

He has also served as Non-Executive Director of Rexel SA Supervisory Board and was a Board Member of Ben & Jerry's.

In August 2020, Mr. Sigismondi was appointed as the Executive Chairman of Sustenir Group, a promising vertical farming start-up located in Singapore. In addition, he also played an active role as a Board Member of the Singapore Food Agency and a member of Future Economic Council for Resource and Environmental Sustainability.

With his diverse experience and background in the Food and Beverages businesses, his expertise will bring added value and synergy to the Board and enhance the existing competencies and skills within the Board.

The Board has approved the appointment of Mr. Pier Luigi Sigismondi as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company after having considered the recommendation of the Nominating Committee and having reviewed his experience and skillset.
