In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 9 of The Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970/1980, read with sub-clause (1) of clause 3 and sub-clause (1) of clause 8 of the Nationalized Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970/1980, the Central Government, has appointed Shri Harideesh Kumar B, presently General Manager, Vijaya Bank as Executive Director of Canara Bank, with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post and upto 31.05.2017 ie., the date of his attaining the age of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vide notification No. F.No. 4/5/2013-BO-I, dated 10th March, 2015.

He has taken charge as Executive Director of the Bank w.e.f. 11.03.2015.
