On 16 May 2012, New Chee Seng alias Lary Liang Zhicheng brought an action against The Daughter Movie Venture Pte Ltd, Decibel & Lux Pte. Ltd., and certain other individuals (including Mr. Wang) who were allegedly involved in the two companies, in relation to certain alleged representations relating to a proposed movie venture. Mr. Wang disputed the allegations on the basis that he was not involved in the affairs of the two companies and had not made any representations to the plaintiff, and the plaintiff discontinued the action against Mr. Wang on 12 November 2013.
