We refer to the article titled "Top firms 'supplied with illegal palm oil'" published in the Straits Times today and wish to clarify that contrary to the statement in the article that Wilmar did not respond to queries, Wilmar had, on 12 April 2016, responded to the writer of the article on the queries received on 11 April 2016, ahead of the writer's deadline of 13 April 2016. Wilmar's response was also posted on its website on 12 April 2016. A copy of the self-explanatory response, which states Wilmar's position on the issues raised in the article, is attached. Wilmar regrets that its response was not reflected in the article published in the Straits Times today.
