NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Novatek announced a cash dividend of NT$32.0 per common share on June 20th, 2024 and the register will be closed from July 12th, 2024 to July 16th, 2024. Such declaration of dividends was approved at a general meeting of the Novatek s shareholders held on May 31st, 2024 before such dividends were legally made.

As a result, UMC informs the holders of the Bonds that a Closed Period (as defined in the Indenture) has started and will end on July 16th, 2024. The record date will be set on July 16th, 2024.
