IENOVA INFORMS ON THE TRANSACTION ANNOUNCED BY ITS CONTROLING SHAREHOLDER SEMPRA ENERGY

Mexico City, April 5, 2021 - Infraestructura Energetica Nova, S.A.B. de C.V. (IEnova) informs the market, based on the provisions of article 50, section III, subsection d) of the General Provisions Applicable to Securities Issuers and other Securities Market Participants issued by the National Banking and Securities Commission, that its controlling shareholder Sempra Energy, announced today (https://www.sempra.com/sempra-energy-announces-agreement-sell-non-controlling-interest-sempra-infrastructure-partners) the execution of an agreement to perform a transaction that includes a non-controlling interest in IEnova.

The transaction is subject to the regular closing conditions, including third party consents and from the regulators.
