Description (Please provide a detailed description of the event in the box below): The Board of Directors of Hong Leong Asia Ltd. ("HLA" or the "Company") wishes to announce that Well Summit Investments Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, had between 19 August 2020 and 17 September 2020, purchased in the open market an aggregate of 486,932 ordinary shares of US$0.10 each in the capital of CYI (a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange), representing approximately 1.19% of the share capital of CYI, for a cash consideration of US$8,232,428.91.

Following the said purchases, the HLA group holds in aggregate 17,994,993 ordinary shares and one special share of US$0.10 in CYI, representing approximately 44.04% of the share capital of CYI as at 17 September 2020. A Schedule 13D in respect of the said purchases has been filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission today.
