The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Metech International Limited (the "Company" and collectively with its subsidiaries, the "Group") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Clement Tay Ming Liang ("Mr. Clement Tay") as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of the Company with effect from 24 March 2020.

This announcement has been prepared by the Company and its contents have been reviewed by the Company's Sponsor, RHT Capital Pte. Ltd. (the "Sponsor") for compliance with the relevant rules of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the "SGX-ST"). The appointment of Mr. Clement Tay as Executive Director and CEO of the Company was reviewed and approved by the Nominating Committee ("NC") and the Board who, after taking into account his professional qualifications and working experience, are satisfied that he is suitable for the roles of an Executive Director and CEO of the Company.

The NC had interviewed Mr. Clement Tay and is of the view that he possess the competence, character and integrity expected of a Executive Director and CEO and recommended his appointment to the Board.

Mr. Clement Tay had undertaken equivalent responsibilities of a director, ensuring due diligence and corporate governance compliance when he was the general manager of Gaoyuan Pte Ltd, subsidiary of QAF Limited. He reported directly to the board of directors of QAF Limited when he assumed these roles. Notwithstanding thereto, an orientation program will be conducted to familiarise Mr. Clement Tay with the business and operations of the Group. Mr. Clement Tay will also be invited to participate in seminars and events to keep him abreast of the developments that are relevant to the Company. The Company will arrange for Mr. Clement Tay to attend appropriate training courses to faniliarise himself with the rules and responsibilities of a director of a listed company within 1 year from the date of his appointment.
