The Board of Directors ("Board") of Sinarmas Land Limited ("SML" or the "Company") wishes to announce that Mr Ng Ee Peng ("Mr Ng") and Mr Steven Lim Jun Xiong ("Mr Lim") have been appointed to the Board of the Company as Non-Executive Independent Directors.

Mr Ng holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, USA; Diploma (with Honors) from US Army Command & General Staff, USA; and Bachelor of Science (First Class Honors) from University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, USA.

Currently, Mr Ng is the Founder and Chairman of Lunas Analytics.ai, a FinTech Artificial Intelligence startup. From 2019 to February 2020, he was Executive Vice President and later, Senior Advisor, Chairman's Office, of PT Smartfren Tbk, Indonesia. Before that, from 2010 to 2019, he was President Director and Group Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"), PT Gunung Sewu Kencana, Indonesia. Since 1974 to the latter position, Mr Ng held various posts, including, President & CEO, GE Capital ASEAN (2007 to 2010); President, Asian Aerospace Pte. Ltd. and Reed Exhibitions Pte. Ltd. (2003 to 2007); Group CEO, DBSLand / Executive Vice President Corporate, Capitaland Group / CEO, Capitaland Commercial & Fund Management (2000 to 2002); President & Country Manager (Singapore & Philippines) being his last position at GE Capital (1993 to 2000); and Brigade Commander being his last position at Singapore Armed Forces (1974 to 1989).

Mr Lim is a fellow member of CPA Australia and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, and a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners. Mr Lim holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

Mr Lim is a well-rounded professional with more than 30 years' experience in the financial and wealth management industry in the region. He currently provides consultancy advice in the field of global wealth solutions. He was the CEO of SG Trust (Asia) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary and fiduciary services arm of Societe Generale Private Bank that provides wealth management, estate and succession planning services, from 2010 till 2014. Prior to this, he was with the HSBC Group for 23 years in a range of positions in its Global Wealth Solutions arm which included stints in Hong Kong and Jersey, Channel Islands. He assumed the position of Managing Director in 1990 and was responsible for growing wealth management services in Asia, India and the Middle East. Mr Lim started his career at Price Waterhouse.

Additionally, the Board wishes to announce the following appointments to the respective Board Committees:-

(i) Mr Willy Shee Ping Yah @ Shee Ping Yan ("Mr Shee"), a current Board member, as a member and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee; and a member of the Audit Committee;

(ii) Mr Lim, as a member of the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nominating Committee.

The above appointments take effect on 6 May 2020.

For the purposes of Rule 704(8) of the listing manual of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST Listing Manual"), Mr Shee and Mr Lim are considered independent by the Board.
