- Guest-of-Honour President Tharman Shanmugaratnam flags off final fundraiser for the year and applauds spirit of community impact

SGX Group (Singapore Exchange) marked its milestone 25th Anniversary with a double celebration - raising over S$2.5 million for SGX Cares beneficiaries, as 5,000 runners laced up for the highly anticipated SGX Cares Bull Charge Charity Run held today at Marina Barrage.

President Tharman Shanmugaratnam kicked off the run and presented a cheque of S$2.5 million, raised from corporate partners and sponsors, to the Community Chest and SGX Cares' beneficiaries - AWWA Ltd., Autism Association (Singapore), Fei Yue Community Services, HCSA Community Services, Shared Services for Charities and Tasek Academy and Social Services.

Throughout the year, SGX Group employees and corporate partners banded together through a wide range of fundraising activities. From the adrenaline-pumping SGX Charity Futsal which saw its highest number of participating teams, to the Ultimate Quiz Challenge featuring Singapore-themed SG60 questions, and the artistic Ink & Impact donation drive where employees designed custom merchandise, the spirit of camaraderie and purpose was palpable.

President Tharman said, "SGX Cares Bull Charge continues to show how businesses and individuals can join hands to uplift the disadvantaged. My thanks to every runner, partner, sponsor, and volunteer for contributing to this effort."

Echoing this sentiment, Loh Boon Chye, Chief Executive Officer, SGX Group, said, "For over two decades, SGX Cares has brought together our partners, sponsors and colleagues to do good. This year's record participation has again shown that 'Better Happens Together'. We've raised over S$55 million since 2004, making a difference for those in need and building a more inclusive Singapore."

Launched in 2004, SGX Cares is Singapore's only corporate charity initiative uniting the financial community and SGX-listed companies for social good. To date, over 50 charities and multiple causes have benefitted from more than S$55 million raised. SGX Cares comprises three pillars - SGX Cares Bull Charge, SGX Cares Outreach and SGX Cares Financial Literacy. In FY2025, SGX Group employees dedicated over 2,800 volunteering hours across 33 outreach activities, as part of their commitment to give back.
