In order to strengthen the retail operations of the Group's two store locations in Shanghai and to build the retail team in Shanghai, it has been determined that a new position of Retail Manager should be created to oversee the Shanghai retail operations. The new retail managerial position will be created within HTL Furniture Trading Co., Ltd. The retail manager's key functions will include sales, training, in-store merchandising, executing local advertising and promotional activities, and warehousing and logistics. Phua Fang Ming has worked in the Group from 2001 to 2012. During this period, she held roles in sales, merchandising and marketing functions within the Group. Her most recent role before she left the Group in 2012 was as a Sales Supervisor with the Company's subsidiary, Domicil Pte. Ltd., where she was responsible for retail sales, back office operations and customer service. Having regard to Ms Phua's experience in various aspects of retail operations, and her familiarity with the Group's products, the Board is of the view that she is a suitable candidate for the role of Retail Manager.
