On 1 August 2025, Ms Chong was appointed as a director of H2G Green Limited's 50.1% owned subsidiary, Green Energy Investment Holding Private Limited ("GEIH"). GEIH received a letter from the Singapore Civil Defence Force ("SCDF") dated 8 October 2025 enclosing a court summon for a charge under Section 61(1) of the Fire Safety Act 1993 arising from a fire incident which occurred on the evening of 27 July 2025 at the operating site of GEIH in Jurong (the "Fire Incident"). The Fire Incident happened prior to Ms Chong's appointment as a director, and the case was concluded on 17 March 2026 with the Court granting a discharge amounting to an acquittal after a compound fine of S$4,000 was paid by GEIH to SCDF. Ms Chong subsequently stepped down as director of GEIH on 1 July 2026 upon the disposal by H2G of its entire shareholding interest in GEIH.
