FITCH AFFIRMS IENOVAS CREDIT RATING
Mexico City, October 31, 2019 Infraestructura Energetica Nova, S.A.B. de C.V., (IEnova), announces today that Fitch affirmed IEnovas rating BBB+ / Stable (from BBB+ / Negative watch).
The revision back to Stable outlook corresponds to the agreement reached with the Comisi n Federal de Electricidad (CFE) regarding the pipeline contracts and the neutral impact that the amended terms have on IEnova s cash flow. Fitch expects CFE will abide to the contracts terms providing certainty to market participants.
Fitch maintains IEnova s long-term issuer default rating and senior unsecured rating at BBB+. This rating reflects the company s strong competitive position, its adequate capital structure, stable and predictable cash flow generation supported by long-term agreements signed with investment grade counterparties, and no material commodity exposure. IEnovas ratings also reflect the company s strong liquidity position and the support of its majority shareholder, Sempra Energy (BBB+ / Stable).
