Regarding the fire accident that occurred at Unicharm India Private Ltd., an overseas subsidiary of Unicharm Corporation, the provision of allowance for loss on valuation of investment in subsidiaries and affiliates was recorded as an extraordinary loss of 17,142 million JPY in the non-consolidated financial statements for the 2nd quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2020, considering the decrease in net assets due to the loss caused by the fire. The provision of allowance for loss on valuation of investment in subsidiaries and affiliates is eliminated in the consolidated financial statements and therefore it does not affect the consolidated financial results.
