The rationale and qualifications of Giang Sovann have been disclosed in a circular to shareholders dated 30 September 2014 and his appointment had been approved by shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company on 27 October 2014.

Mr Giang Sovann started his career at Arthur Young, Canada & Singapore from 1979 to 1986 as a public accountant where he progressed on to become senior audit manager. He was the regional financial controller of Golden Polindo Industries Group from 1992 to 2006. He was the chief financial officer of Singapore Island Country Club from 2006 to 2007, Innovalues Limited from 2007 to 2008 and Sunmoon Food Company Limited from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, he was
appointed as an executive director of the Singapore Institute of Directors and in 2013, he was appointed as an executive director of SBI Offshore Limited. He has over 30 years of business & financial management experience in many industries and products including, inter alia, aerospace, oil and gas, petrochemical and coal. Giang Sovann holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Regina. He is also a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan, Canada, a Chartered Accountant, Singapore and a Certified Public Accountant, Singapore and a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
