Dr Jinsong Bian, is an Associate Professor in Department of Pharmacology, Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Singapore. He was first appointed as an assistant professor in 2003 and then an associate professor with tenure in 2009. Dr Bian earned his MBBS degree in Xuzhou Medical college in 1990, MSci in Nanjing Medical University in 1993, and PhD degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2000. At Albert Einstein College of Medicine in USA, Dr Bian completed his postdoctoral training with an American Heart Association fellowship in 2003.

Dr Bian is an associate editor of several international journals including Journal of Alzheimer s Disease. He also serves as a panel member of Singapore National Medical Research Council and consultant Member of Greece Society of Studying Cardiovascular Diseases (SOS-CVD) and an international advisory committee member of European Conferences on the biology of hydrogen sulfide. His main research interests include 1. Biology of endogenous mediators (e.g. hydrogen sulfide); 2. Mechanisms for cardioprotection; 3. Novel function of Na+/K+ ATPase. He has published over 80 papers in international journals including Cir Res, ARS, JASN.
