The Board of Directors of Yeo Hiap Seng Limited (the 'Company') wishes to announce that an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, Yeo Hiap Seng (Perak) Sdn. Bhd. ('YHSP'), has on 18 March 2016 entered into a joint venture with Huiyuan Asia Pacific Holding Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Huiyuan Juice Group Limited. YHSP will contribute RM2.5 million to subscribe for 50% equity interest in the share capital of the joint venture company.

The joint venture is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the Company for the financial year ending 31 December 2016.

None of the directors nor substantial shareholders of the Company has an interest, direct or indirect, in the joint venture other than through their shareholding interests in the Company.
