The Company was incorporated in Singapore in the name of Malaysian Feedmills
Ltd (MFL) on 21 May 1964. In 1997, it was acquired by the Lion group of
Malaysia and changed its name to Lion Teck Chiang Ltd (LTC). On 17 April 1997,
MFL was delisted from the SES and Lion Teck Chiang Ltd was listed.
The principal activities of LTC’s subsidiaries are property investment and
development, steel trading and fabrication activities.
Property Investment and Development
In Singapore, the Group owns and manages its four multi-storey industrial
complexes at its Arumugam Road site. It has diversified into the development
and sale of residential properties such as No.2 Margate, The Princeton and
Dunman Place. LTC is active in the Malaysia property scene. Markets covered
include residential, industrial and commercial properties. Its residential and
commercial developments in Malaysia include Taman Sri Intan, Mahkota Melaka, BR
Lands, Grancia Estates and Tarun Estates.
Steel Trading and Fabrication Activities
The steel trading and fabrication activities of the Group are carried out
through its subsidiary, Angkasa Hong Leong Pte Ltd. It is engaged in the
trading and the cut and bend of steel bars. It is one of the leading producers
of fabricated bar in Singapore with an average annual production of 70,000
tonnes.
