The Company was incorporated on 2 May 2001 as a private company limited. The Company converted into a public company on 16 June 2011 in connection with the distribution in specie of all of our Shares to the shareholders of CBB, undertaken by CBB, in its capacity as sole shareholder of our Company, on 30 June 2011. In relation thereto, the Company changed its name to “Cordlife Group Limited”. The Group currently comprises its Company and its subsidiaries, namely, CLS Services Pte Ltd (“CLS Services”), Cordlife (Hong Kong) Limited (“Cordlife Hong Kong”) and Shanghai Cordlife Biomedical Research Co Ltd (“Cordlife Shanghai”). The Group is amongst the first private cord blood banks in Asia. Its business is focused on providing Cord Blood Banking Services which include the collection, processing, testing, cryopreservation and storage of umbilical cord blood at birth. In March 2011, we also launched the provision of umbilical cord tissue banking services in Hong Kong, which comprise the collection, processing, testing, cryopreservation and storage of the umbilical cord itself. The Group currently provides Cord Blood Banking Services in Singapore and Hong Kong. The Group also provides Cord Blood Banking Services to customers from Indonesia, Macau and the Philippines.
