Company Introduction
CapitaMall Trust ("CMT") is a real estate investment trust established in
Singapore as a unit trust fund and constituted by a trust deed (the “Trust
Deed”) dated October 29, 2001 between CapitaMall Trust Management Limited (the
“Manager”) and Bermuda Trust (Singapore) Limited (the “Trustee” or “Bermuda
Trust”), as supplemented by a first supplemental trust deed dated December 26,
2001 and a second supplemental trust deed dated June 28, 2002 between the
Manager and the Trustee. The Manager’s principal investment strategy is to
invest in real estate in Singapore which is income producing and which is used,
or substantially used, for retail purposes.
CMT’s property portfolio presently consists of the following major shopping
centres in Singapore:
· Tampines Mall, one of Singapore’s major suburban shopping malls in terms of
Net Lettable Area, located in the high-density residential area of Tampines, a
regional town in the east of Singapore, adjacent to the Tampines bus
interchange and the Tampines MRT station;
· Junction 8 Shopping Centre, a suburban shopping mall located in the
high-density residential area of Bishan in central Singapore, which is
strategically located between the Bishan bus interchange and the Bishan MRT
station; and
· Funan, one of Singapore’s premier electronics and information technology
malls located in Singapore’s Central Business District, near to the City Hall
MRT interchange station.
