NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Novatek announced a cash dividend of NT$15.6 per share on August 2nd, 2021 and the register will be closed from August 19th, 2021 to August 23rd, 2021. Such declaration of dividends was approved at a general meeting of the Novatek s shareholders held on July 20, 2021 before such dividends were legally made.

As a result, UMC informs the holders of the Bonds that (i) the Exchange Price prior to the adjustment is NT$731.25, (ii) the adjusted Exchange Price, calculated pursuant to Section 11.2 of the Indenture, shall be NT$709.2 per share, and (iii) such adjustment shall be effective on August 24th, 2021.
