Mexico City, May 22, 2026 Banco Santander Mexico, S.A., Institucion de Banca Multiple, Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico ( Santander Mexico or the Bank ), one of the leading banks in the country, announced the rating action taken by Moody s Ratings ( Moodys ) on May 21, 2026 with respect to its ratings.

Following the downgrade of Mexico s sovereign rating to Baa3 from Baa2 on May 20, 2026, Moody s reviewed the ratings of several Mexican financial institutions, including Banco Santander Mexico.
