We previously announced that we intended to use the proceeds received from the issuance of the 6.625 per cent. senior notes due 2020 to invest in nuclear power projects overseas and for general corporate purposes. We now specify that such proceeds will be used (i) to invest in nuclear power projects overseas and other overseas projects by us and our subsidiaries, (ii) as initial investment into the relevant domestic power projects, (iii) to repay our and our subsidiaries mature debts, and (iv) for other general purposes.

The aforementioned use of proceeds is in strict compliance with the NDRC regulations as it relates to the registration of foreign debts, and does not violate the relevant national policies and regulations.
