SoftBank Group Corp. (SBG) today announced that, on July 1, 2026 (Japan time), it executed the follow-on investment (second tranche) of USD 10.0 billion (JPY 1,627.3 billion) (the Follow-on Investment) in OpenAI Group PBC via SoftBank Vision Fund 2, as part of the total USD 30.0 billion follow-on investments previously announced in Follow-on Investments in OpenAI dated March 2, 2026. SBG plans to complete the third tranche, in the amount of USD 10.0 billion, on October 1, 2026 (Japan time).
